Book Review: Time Tebow – Through My Eyes

Although I generally have a dislike for any Florida Gator, I have always respected and admired Tim Tebow.  As I have learned more I have learned about him over the past couple of years, my respect level has risen significantly.  (Unfortunately, this usually works the opposite way.)

It was awesome to learn more about his family and career through college.  Here’s a couple of things that I loved about this book:

1.  His faith is solid!  It is evident from this book that He loves Jesus and strives to be like Him.  He is a great role model and example.   It is refreshing to see someone put their faith on display, despite being ridiculed over and over in the media.  Tebow does a good job of clearly communicating the Gospel throughout the book.

2.  He works hard!  One of the things that I have always loved about him was his will to win.  You can be guaranteed that the guy is going to do everything within his power to win.  No one will outwork him.  No one has more passion and desire to win.  Those things make him a good leader!

My favorite quote from the book was ‘Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn’t work hard!’

3.  He makes those around him better.  A great leader brings others along for the journey and makes them better.  I loved the parts of the books where he talked about challenging his teammates to work harder.

If you like Tim Tebow, you will enjoy this book.  I will say that I thought the book got a little lengthy due to the fact that he gives details about every game of every season of his college career.  Since I’m not a Gators fan, I didn’t really care for that type of detail.  However, it was a relaxing and inspiring read!

Bonus:  Click here for one of my favorite Tebow moments.  This speech fires me up!  Love the heart he displayed!!
